Drawing from the concept of continuity, this functional sculpture, inspired by Louise Bourgeois’s ‘Maman’, finds completeness below what is considered to be the ‘groundline,’ to range to infinity, creating a form that is continuous and unending. With the ‘Swayam Table,’ a series of three cosmic eggs find themselves floating above the ground supported by visually weightless marble stems that self-generate. Modern lines meet ancient Indian geometry to
create this structure carefully balanced but imbalanced in perception, a
play of dynamic perspectives!
