LONGPI DABBA
LONGPI DABBA
Two bulbous arched lengths balance a pair of ellipsoids stacked above one another in a burnished black, fragile avatar, composed in ‘longpi,’ an art form crafted in stone and clay from the Ukhrul District, Manipur. Symmetrical in stature, this sculptural object functions as a container when closed and fragments itself into a pair of individual bowls handcrafted to perfection - the epitome of wabi-sabi.
