Fashioned in ‘Dhokra’ - the result of a ‘lost wax casting’ technique in bronze and copper based alloys, the Dhokra Stambh pays homage to the fine artisanship of Chhattisgarh. Exploring scale, finish and form, this stambh inspired by Ruth Asawa’s sculptural marvels fragments itself into a series of four baskets that can be uncovered and alternatively purposed to stand as perch stools unveiling an array of textures crafted to perfection.
