The Dhokra Maquette’s’ are the Atelier’s first explorations with the craft from Chhattisgarh - ‘Dhokra’ is fashioned from bronze and copper based alloys using a ‘lost wax casting’ method, taking upto months to be created. These design objects are the initial explorations of scale, finish and form, the beginning of a deeper study and form development process at The Atelier.
