Fashioned in Dokra - the result of a ‘lost wax casting’ technique in bronze and copper based alloys, the ‘Dokra Bar’ pays homage to the fine artisanship of Chhattisgarh. While a series of handcrafted tiles characterized by their horizontal and vertical ribbed textures are assembled alternatively to achieve its monumental facade, its sides clad in brass conform to the same language exuding a sense of refined luxury. A marriage of primordial Indian handicrafts with modern day aesthetic brings forth this linear form that can be tailored to the space with multiple permutations, the epitome of wabi-sabi.
