A first-of-its-kind exhibition, Sutr Santati celebrates 75 years of India’s birth as an independent nation, by bringing together diverse textile traditions of the country, conceived and created by some of its most prominent artisans, craftspeople, designers and artists. Inaugurated on 18th August by Ministry of Culture it was followed by a panel discussion on 19th August on “Textiles Beyond Attire” with Shah and Malavika Shivakumar presented by The Yarn Club and moderated by Sharan Apparao. Celebrating the heritage and future of Indian textiles, for its presentation, Atelier Ashiesh Shah is showcasing two exquisite pieces of textiles - the Nakshatra Rug and the Copper and Naga raincoat at the National Museum in New Delhi.
